Terry Fulmer, PhD, RN, FAAN
Dr. Fulmer is the President of the John A. Hartford Foundation and the former Dean of the Bouvé College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University. An accomplished scholar elected to the Institute of Medicine in 2010, Fulmer previously was the Erline Perkins McGriff Professor and Dean of the College of Nursing at New York University. Dr. Fulmer has also held academic positions at Boston College, Yale University, Columbia University and the Harvard Medical School Division on Aging. She has been a fellow at both the American Academy of Nursing and the New York Academy of Medicine, and was the first nurse to serve as the president of the Gerontological Society of America. She earned her master’s degree in nursing and PhD in Higher Education Administration from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Skidmore College.
